Why home school?

The past couple of months I have been thinking about schools for my children. We are making yet another move and at the present time we don't know where this move will take us. Koby will be in 2nd grade and Camryn will be in Kindergarten. I had them registered at Explore Knowledge Academy www.ekacademy.com (A charter school) and love everything about this school (Koby attended school there last year). The thing is that I don't think that our next move will leave us close enough to justify my driving there three times a day. One day a thought came to my mind that I should teach home school this year. I started to think about it and to talk with a friend (Thanks Jennie) about there experiences and curriculum that they used and it just fell into place. I am so excited for what this year will hold for our family. This is our school blog and at the end of the year it will become our yearbook.

My kids and I discussed a mascot for our school and everyone agreed on an Bald Eagle!! I was impressed with their ideas. I thought we would get something like a teddy bear or barbie. GO Bald Eagles!! So much fun!
