Septembers project theme was introduced to the kids today. It is airplanes. We are going to learn all that we can about airplanes. At the end of September the kids will do a project showing what they learned (with our help of course). Today we talked about the Wright brothers and how at the ages 7 and 11 their dad came home with a model helicopter for them to play with. It was a dream of a man in France (Alphonse Penaud). This sparked Orville and Wilbur interest in flying. The kids really enjoyed hearing their story. Afterward Koby taught us how to make paper airplanes and we flew them to see who's would go the farthest. Camryn's won!!! Koby's airplane was a trick airplane. It was lots of fun. School was great today.
