A recap on this school year
This year was so much fun. We grew closer as a family. We spent so much time together. I feel that I know my kids better. We studied lots of things (math, reading, us history, etc). We learned fun things like how to feed cows, about airplanes, service (raking leaves, shoveling snow, serving our family, etc), The kids grew a year older. I am not sure if we will continue doing homeschool but I will always cherish this time I had with my children. I feel so blessed to be their mom.

Koby our little artist
This morning Koby found a bird outside our window that was injured. Koby knows this bird, he's caught him a couple times already. It stayed there long enough for Koby to draw him. Koby is such a good artist. I am so impressed with this natural talent he has.

Scenes from our class room
We don't have a specific room in the house that we call our classroom. We have held school in our TV room, in our kitchen, in our living room, in our car, and outside. Somedays were harder than others with the children's additude and desire to do their school work, but over all it has been so much fun.

January's Project Theme
For our next theme we are going to learn the 50 states and there capitals. The United State is full of so many amazing places. We are so grateful for the freedoms that we enjoy each day. If we had lots of money I would try to visit some of the cool places we are studying. Maybe someday!!

A day in the snow with friends
We had a snow day with our friends the Sluders. It was lots of fun slidding down their hill in front of their home. The weather was super cold that day. We all played outside until we couldn't stand it any longer. Ryan and Jon snowmobiled through the fields in back of the house. It was a fun day thanks Sluders!

The Polar Express
We had a really neat opportunity with Ryan's work to go serve children at the North Pole. After getting our tickets punched we boarded the Polar Express. It was WAY cool!!! While we traveled to the North Pole the story of the Polar Express was read to the children. The kids we were helping were really sick. For some this might be there last Christmas. They have cancer and other diseases that make them really sick. It was fun watching our children handing gifts out to the children after they sat on Santa's lap. It was such a wonderful experience for our family.
